My background is in working with individuals, couples, and families through the parts of life that can feel messy, complicated, or just hard to make sense of. I work with people who may be carrying things from their past, feeling stuck in the same relationship patterns, dealing with anxiety or family conflict, or trying to figure out who they are in the middle of a major life change. As a therapist and co-founder of Viora Therapy, I wanted to help create a space where therapy feels a little more human. You don’t have to walk in knowing exactly what’s wrong or have the perfect words to explain how you’re feeling. Sometimes you just know that something isn’t working anymore, and that’s enough of a place to start. I’m EMDR-trained and tend to look at the bigger picture. I want to understand what’s happening now, but also what you’ve been through, the relationships that shaped you, and where some of your patterns may have started. A lot of the ways we learn to protect ourselves make sense when we understand where they came from, but sometimes those same things can start getting in the way of the life or relationships we want now. My style is down-to-earth and conversational. I’m not going to sit quietly, nod, and leave you wondering what I’m thinking. I’ll ask questions, help you connect the dots, be honest with you, and challenge you when I think it could help. There’s room for humor, real conversations, hard days, and showing up exactly as you are. I especially enjoy working with trauma, anxiety, relationships and communication, attachment, couples, family dynamics, divorce and co-parenting, and major life transitions. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. We can start with what feels hard right now and figure out the rest together.
