Whether this is your first time in therapy or you've worked with a therapist before, starting with someone new can feel intimidating. If you're living with anxiety, OCD, trauma, or intrusive thoughts, you may feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, fear, self-doubt, avoidance, or feeling constantly on edge. Maybe your mind feels like it never fully quiets down, or you're struggling to feel present in your relationships, work, or everyday life. Therapy can be a space to make sense of what's happening, figure out what's keeping you stuck, and work toward meaningful change. I earned my doctorate in counseling psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University and completed my internship at The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. I have worked with individuals and partnerships (romantic, platonic, and everything in between) through anxiety, OCD, trauma, mood concerns, relationship challenges, life transitions, and chronic health concerns. I am especially passionate about supporting healthcare professionals navigating the emotional demands and stressors of caring for others. I am certified in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), an evidence-based treatment for OCD and anxiety disorders. I'm passionate about working with clients navigating OCD, including intrusive thoughts, compulsions, reassurance seeking, perfectionism, and mental rituals that can leave life feeling exhausting and overwhelming. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help clients heal from trauma, including those who feel stuck in survival mode, struggle with hypervigilance, emotional overwhelm, or find it difficult to feel safe, connected, or fully present. Outside of work, I enjoy tapping into my creative side through crafting and reading, as well as gardening and spending time with family and friends. I value creativity, curiosity, and balance and enjoy bringing those same qualities into the therapy space.
